The area is located near Hallandsgränsen in hilly terrain on the north side of the ridge. Only about 400m from the cottage are two outdoor swimming pools for the whole family. There is also a playground, dance floor and barbecue facilities. There is also a toilet and changing room by the pool area. A short drive away is Sjöaltsjön, which has a larger public swimming area. A larger public swimming area is at Mammas vik in Hjälmsjön. There is a disabled-friendly lake swimming area with a jetty and barbecue area. Hjälmsjön is widely known by canoeists and rowers for its mirror-clear water. Here you will also find perch, bream, pike, zander, roach and trout. A fishing license is valid. A bit north of Örkelljunga is Kungsbygget's adventure park. On Hallandsåsen you can visit Vallåsen's ski resort in winter. A short drive away are the beaches in Vejbystrand and also the metropolis of Båstad. There are several golf courses in the area, the nearest being Örkelljunga Golf Club.
