Summary: The property is basically apartments above a pub that may be 100 years old. Located about 100 meters from the train station which made it convenient. Checkin and checkout basically rely on the pub hours. No air conditioning (although balcony doors can be opened) and no obvious source of heat in cooler months. Bed moderately comfortable. Shared bathroom not well maintained and no hook for clothes during shower. One toilet stall door wouldn’t lock. My room was on the third floor and loud noises from the pub lasted until the patrons went home. During my stay in Sydney I saw several other examples of old properties like this. I would suggest a hostel as a budget alternative.
